Polyester Labels
Polyester labels are highly versatile and durable. Polyester labels are used when temperature changes, outdoor conditions, and chemical/solvent exposure need to be considered. In addition polyester labels are extremely strong, scuff and abrasion resistant. Polyester has a high tensile strength and so they work well with strong acrylic adhesives enabling strong adhesion to most metals and plastics. Not surprisingly, polyester is a favourite material for a wide variety of label types. Polyester labels may be laminated for added protective and an attractive glossy finish; equally an approach utilising a super tough polycarbonate laminate may be adopted.
Polyester labels are incredibly robust, but they can also be elegant and stylish. Almost every label shape and custom label choice is possible. Versatility is the key you are as likely to see Polyester labels on heavy machinery as you are on a test tube.
Laminated Polyester Labels
Polyester labels offer a high print surface quality, but when additional protection is required, polyester or polypropylene may be used as a UV blocking laminate. Lamination protects the label print surfaces against UV, chemical or abrasion damage.
Sometimes extremely durable labels are needed. We can supply labels printed on 3M materials, we can also utilise label materials that have passed UL and cUL standards. Chemicals transported by sea must carry particularly durable labelling, materials must conform to BS 5609 part 2, materials with this high levels of adhesive performance, print performance and abrasion resistance are available on request.
